Once Upon a Time... My Friends Got Married!

I just need to talk about my awesome extended weekend for a minute...

On Saturday, these kids got MARRIED! (How are we old enough to be saying that?!)

Once upon a time I didn't like Hannah, and I never thought we would be friends. But, my first impressions are always wrong, and God has a way of changing my opinions. After getting to know each other through mutual friends and Young Life, Hannah and I roomed together junior and senior year. We bonded over chips and salsa, late night McDonald's runs (not the healthiest roomies), and some of the best conversations. Hannah truly loves people, and she has challenged me to be more vulnerable and honest in my relationships.

And once upon a time I also didn't like Jordan. (I really need to work on liking people when I first meet them... it's a problem.) But, as I saw Hannah and Jordan together, I got to see how much he loved Hannah unconditionally, and how funny and great he was to have as a friend! (Free coffee at Starbucks was an added bonus.)

These two have taught me so much, and I was so honored to be a part of their day. It was also really incredible to be back with all these people and to know that I could be completely ME with all the good and the bad, and they would still love me. Seriously, you can't find better friends. I dare you.

Not quite all of these people were at the wedding... we missed you! 

Today I'm feeling quite "dumpy" after being on such a high since Wednesday. As Amy said, "It's like that feeling you get when you find out that the boy you like started dating someone else." Disappointed. Heart hurting. But, it's worth it because it was all SO GOOD.

So, here's to you Hannah and Jordan! Love you both!

Now... who's going to get married next, so we can have another big, heart-warming reunion?!
